Football Fans,

We will not be discussing in great detail the monumental collapse that occurred during the 3rd quarter in Champaign-Urbana last Saturday. Not a good day to be an Illini fan. Also not a good day to be an Ohio State or Minnesota fan. But, as always, things could be a lot worse. Western Michigan was defeated by another Directional school (Eastern Michigan) and also lost to Illinois earlier in the season. Double ouch.

Big win this week for Wisconsin. Andy celebrates both that victory and his stranglehold atop the season standings. Joel takes honors for the week and has moved into a tie with Andy for the season crown. Props to Florida State and Florida as well. FSU scored a "W" against a Top 10 Virginia team, and the Gators rang up another win on their way to an 8-5 Zook masterpiece.

A full docket of games but few quality matchups are on tap for the coming week. Michigan-Purdue and Alabama-Tennessee look to be the best games (one of you SEC diehards please explain to me why the 'Bama-Vols game has not been played on the 3rd Saturday in October in recent years).

A special congratulations this week to Sunday and the newest addition to her family, Callan. I assume he will be ready to join our pool in a few years. In the meantime, Beano recommends the following for baby apparel. :)
